What is a regional cooking school?
The USA has been divided into 12 regions. Each week we will open the class with a brief lecture about background history of the region. We will talk about important people and places within each region. We cook together as a team and eat together as a family.

What is a recreational cooking school?
All classes are taught by Chef Marla. I am a trained , Certified Chef. Classes are light hearted less serious and fun for everyone. Our classes are meant for the home cook and non-cook alike. This is not a culinary school for professional chefs. But, a place for our guests to reacquaint themselves with the pleasures of eating and entertaining. The only requirement we insist on is that we have fun..free of fear. The kitchen is a place of enjoyment. Our classes are meant to educate, as well as remind our guest how wonderful it is to prepare a meal from scratch and enjoy it with others.
What is included in the registration fee?
Every class included friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic instruction from me...Chef Marla. The best part? Every class ends with a dinner party. Each student will receive a menu packet for the registered class. Materials are included with the class. I will post recipes on this website after each class as well. Access is restricted to students. You will be provided with a password for access to the menu pages. Should you have any further questions after class, email me or call me, and I will get back to you as quickly as possible.
Can we bring our own beverages?
Suuure!! Bring your wine, favorite soda, or flavored waters!
How many students are in each class?
6 minimum and 10 maximum. We maintain a waiting list for each class.
Am I going to get dirty?
Yes probably. I sure hope so. Bring an apron if you have one and comfy shoes!
Where are the menus for each class?
Look at the calendar of classes. There is a link for each menu from each region for the first 5 classes. Menus for regions not posted are still being finalized. Check back later for that.
What is your cancellation policy?
I do not issue refund for cancellations. If you would like to reschedule for another class, please let me know within 3 days of class to receive a direct transfer into another class or credit, which can be used for another class registration. Within three days of class, we cannot honor a cancellation. I purchase material for production based on class size. However, we are happy to welcome a friend in your place.
What if a class is sold out?
Be sure to add your name to our waiting lists for last minute openings.
